Luigi di Savoia, the Duke of Abruzzi led an extremely successful expedition to the Rwenzoris in 1906, during which all 6 of the main mountains in the range - Mt Stanley (5109m), Mt Speke (4890m), Mt Baker (4843m), Mt Emin (4798m), Mt Gessi (4715m) and Mt Luigi di Savoia (4627m) - were summited for the very first time.
