Rachel and Charles prepare for an early departure from Lago Toro camp site.
The Lago Toro camp site lacked a few facilities and to serve as toilet it was necessary to go out into a great big open space nearby, squat down and bury your stool under a stone. In addition, the strong Patagonian winds contributed to making the experience an interesting one. I walked out quite a long way for this purpose and there must have been a million and one stones out there I could have used for stool coverage, but I still managed to lift a stone and find another reasonably fresh turd sitting underneath it. Alex fared even less fortunately. After depositing his first instalment, he hopped to one side for the next batch only to have a fearsome gust of wind lift him up and set him back down again on top of his earlier creation, still in squat position with his pants around his ankles. Very pleasant! Still, it was a nice view.
