Pengelly Garden, 1994
Reseeding in the central part of the garden.
During the spring of 1994, much of the garden was dug up, flattened and reseeded. I remember this time well as it was while I was living in Pengelly and working in Plymouth. Mum was a locum pharmacist at the time and working in various chemists around Cornwall. We spent evenings after work raking over the soil and picking out stones before reseeding the whole lot. I remember one or two occasions when she would be so pleased with the evening's work that she would suggest a visit to the pub in Rilla Mill to celebrate. I remember being surprised by this as it was unusual for her to be the instigator of a trip to the pub, particular during the week.
